![]() The Curriculum – Part Two The 2-year part-time Practitioner study programme for Diploma of (Classical) Homoeopathy & Diploma of Naturopathy. Prerequisite studies: the successful completion of the course in Holistic Therapeutic Education. Module 18 Anatomy and Physiology – Pathophysiology The hard and the soft – skeletal system and soft tissues – introduction to the human body from the anatomical view. The Polar opposites: sclerosis and inflammation – simplest and profoundest way to study disease: this takes in also the knowledge requirement of blood constituents, nerve function and the patho-physiology of disease. The threefold organism: Nerve – sense system Heart – Circulation system Metabolism – limbs system The fourfold organ system: Liver/gall and diseases Renal and diseases Cardiovascular and diseases Lungs and diseases Repertory & Materia Medica studies. Module 19 Human growth and diseases This is an advanced study: a practical guide of treatments and protocols through practice realities. This module of learning takes into consideration the remedies applicable in case examples, comparison of remedies, the effect of one’s therapeutic action, case management. The study of the Epochs of Growth (the 7-year cycles) – from conception/ birth to death. This is the study of the early epochs and childhood diseases, and through to the later years, approaching transition through the Gate of Death. • Conception and modern fertility problems, gestation health, and birth • First, second, third epochs of growth (nutritional considerations, childhood diseases, and educational challenges on the physical and soul development). • Common ailments of adults and • The treatments or palliation for the elderly. The study includes endocrine disorders, sleep disturbance, hypertension, diabetes, gout, arthritis, rheumatism, neurological disorders, sexually transmitted diseases, etc. This study is the exceptional aspects of seeing the patient in the context of life, the stresses and strains modernity poses, the consequences of allopathic treatments, the consequences of one’s own medical procedures. Repertory & Materia Medica. Module 20 Advanced prescribing and Materia Medica studies: We enter into deeper aspects of the mind rubrics (The work of JP Gallavardin, DL Sehgal, and others, offers us an example.) Also prescribing for the four-fold human (physical, etheric or life body, astral and ego) – based on the Anthroposophical Approach to Medicine – the student will gradually come to be acquainted with these principles and will allow insight into remedies and action on the organism – the Spirit Dynamis Module 21 Healing in Practice: Clinical Sessions: The final stage to confidence and competency: practice observation and clinical supervision. Learning case management and good practice management. Additional lectures on all aspects of Naturopathic practice and Homoeopathic prescribing based on student’s needs and progress. In practice the homoeopath treats the individual in the totality; and the disease the person thinks he or she is suffering from is not the object of treatment. But we must come to grasp common illnesses experienced by humans – by not purporting specific remedies (unlike the allopath) but to understand the disorder and various ways one needs to deal with them. This is the best way to learn essential Anatomy & Physiology, and also to know how the fourfold human organism manifests the symptoms. This was begun with the study of the four organ systems in Module 8. The harmonising of the organism is ‘the cure’ by homoeopathy, the remedy most similar to the diseased person and the requisite Regimen of Life [Module 10]. In other words, one learns most from patients and each patient provides a point of teaching. The schedule: Practitioner training 10 weekends per year for two years – Saturday and Sunday – (7-hour days) – total 40 days.
